    Another DW 28 getting close

This is a new DW28 that is being built as a demo. boat and will be for sale. If anyone is seriously interested, now is your time to pick interior colors and paint design-otherwise its going to be done to my personal favorite Red/Grey/Black/and White. 300XS motors, Porta brackets, Custom Myco Trailer, Fineline Interior, Hardin throttles, and complete Zeiger power steering. This is a standard hull with the carbon capped running surface support option. The boat comes with alum. tanks that are 70 gal. each.

You can give me a call anytime. This boat will have some extra cost factored in with stainless marine bracket indicators, the porta brackets, full Custom paint from Doug Harrell, a custom Myco trailer that I added stuff to, I am having a full cover made for it etc. But with all of that it will still be the lowest priced bang for the buck available in a new 28 foot cat. And it will be the fastest guaranteed.

Stingers are in, and deck is almost complete. I will post some pictures of it soon. Core is 5/8" and 1" throughout this hull, it will be very rigid.

Tanks are epoxy coated and the foam perimeter will be glassed over so they are completely sealed to last longer then most boats.

Joe, can we assume the "stingers" are in case other boats get too close?

It just ties the deck and bulkheads in better. Its all composite core covered with mat and 1808 structural glass. This boat will be very strong and should hold its shape very well Vs. flexing during hard blow cycles. Looking forward to running it.

any reason thats not being bagged? --Its a Vinylester layup not epoxy.

The time frame to work with epoxy is much longer before it starts to kick. You can bag small parts with vinyl but with big areas they weight them down and dry roll the excess resin. I was told that there is an additive for vinyl to slow the cure time but I am not interested in being the test dummy. These boats might lose another 100 pounds if they were completely bagged but they are light enough now.

Accelerators and retarders have been around for ever.
Was the photo showing the foam being glued down or laminated as well?

from the pics it looks like the foam was resin-attached on the bottom, exposed corners filleted, and then totally glassed over the foam-top

from the last pic, it appears that the transom knees and the stringers are all one contiguous pieces

gents, that's a work of art right there!

the laminators took their time to do it right. Very clean lamination especially around the bulkheads, no extra resin/glass anywhere to be seen, very tight work

it appears that the bulkheads were notched so as not to break the continuity of the stringers

hull and deck will be capped...very strong product indeed!

can use this as a model in a lamination classroom
