    Franking motor?

    I found this on Craigslist for sale. Did they use half of a hi po block. It has xri cowl. Thanks

    Also says it's a 91. Shouldn't it be 1 piece heads?

    Wrong heads and fuel pump. With an xri cowl on a carb motor that thing could be just about anything. Might be a great runner or an outstanding anchor.

    That's what I was thinking. Can you tell if that's back half of a hi po motor? (Promax,etc)

    Could be a Bridgeport block or old mod Bp block. 2 pics heads would makes sense. Carb front half and 40 amp electrics it looks like

    looks like everything around the block is just standard stuff with old 2pc heads. Block more likely a bridgeport and that probably has a few steel sleeve replacements from having busted bridges so ya gotta hope he has the correct rings for the correct cylinders in there.

    Thanks guys. Thought bout buying it but there's just to many possibilities in there and guy said it's fresh rebuild . So who knows what they have done

    The best motors are Frankensteins. Normally you would upgrade the external parts on a block like that.

    Ya I understand that but like you said. Hope he put right rings and things in it. Motor been for sale for awhile now for 2900 comes complete with coned lower. Seems like it should had sold already. If anyone is Interested I can put up a link to it
