LTV Guys, let’s see your floors...
I’ve seen floors done a couple different ways on LTVs over the years and can’t decide what I want to do with mine. Anyone have pics of their setup, other setups etc?
I want to keep it as light as possible, but also want it to look good and be functional as a boat as well. You know the classic, have the cake and eat it too...

Post up some ideas that you have, and begin a discussion about it. I am not an LTV expert but have built a few boats....

I’ve only personally seen it done two ways on an LTV, barrow floor laid over the stringers and a higher floor laid on top of the bulkhead that lays over in to the sponsons. I would really like to do something in between, I don’t want the seating to be to high tho, I like to be down in the boat as much as safely possible.

Center steer with the seats in between the tunnells? Floor down maybe 4'' from tunnell tops?

Center steer front seat center, 2 back seats. I’m going to try and incorporate them in to the deck like on an STV. That project may have to wait!
I need to measure from the tunnel tops, I’m all torso so seat placement is going to be a pain I’m sure.

With the partial floor down 4'' the seats cushions would be about level with the tunnells. You could make a second full length lower floor at the bottom of the tunnell as a place for your feet, and to mount a go pedal. Tunnell width is 22''-24''? Floors done this way would help make the hull fairly rigid. Would have to watch for hard spots on the hull with the upper partial floor.

yes...I am guessing the hull has no core at the point the floor pcs may touch it. Using foam it would not be a big problem. Wood should be
spaced off a little, or have a strip of core in between. If it is already cored no problem with either.

it has a klegacel core in it. everything going back in is composite, coosa. this was a race boat in it's previous life so the deck is flimsy, I have been advised to add some divinycell to the bottom side for some strength.
