Hill Buckshot Cleaver
Anyone ever heard of or tried one of these? Just noticed it on the STV Facebook site.

We just started the production version of the buckshot cleaver. First one will ship next week. Happy to answer any questions, lots of testing and development in this prop.

I believe you mentioned that the 32P Mercury Cleavers have to much rake for the STV. Would this be true if you "hang" one of the newer 3.0L engines on the transom that is about 100 pounds heavier than the 2-4-2.5.s and has a 6k RPM timer.

A cleaver is generally a transom lifting propeller. Add rake and the faster you go, the rake tries to let the bow. The higher rake mercury 3-blade cleaver (32 pitch and higher) might work well on an offshore boat or a heavier Euro loaded down with 2-4 people. We went with the slightly lower rake as boats have plenty of lift already. I found the 32 mercury to have too much lift and too much blade for the most but not all STVs. So the heavier motors are different from the 2.5s and changes things. Heavier, so you may want more transom lift, you may want a bigger diameter because the bigger gearcase, more blade and pitch to keep the RPMs under the rev limiter.

What is the rake on the "Buckshot", does it differ in the larger pitch props like the Mercury cleavers? I seem to recall the Mercury 22-30 pitches are 15 degree rake and the 32 and 34 are 20 degree rake.
