I had a heck of a time with those Sierra mounts on my 2.0. They were oversized and the exhaust adapter wouldn't sit flush. There was a gap. I had to remove them and I returned them to Sierra for a refund and partial purchase price of my OEM mounts.

So, I just browsed through this, and saw a lot of what I just did to my 94' 2.0 motor before it blew up. I had less drilling to do though, but it was a saltwater F-er as well. I have lots of parts for that thing still sitting in my garage from when I bought a 20" 175 donor motor and stole it's powerhead. if you run into issues and need something, I'll sell them at addict prices to get rid of them. I also saw something about a 20" mid. I have a freshwater one of those too. Full block, connecting rods. I have carbs that were working great when it blew. I did steal a couple jets though.Think I'm going to hold on to the electrical, my trim unit and the 20" lower to put a 25" shaft into for a spare.

Capnmoenh, thanks for the tip on the parts and the mounts. For now I have already picked up a mid section, but if I have any trouble with it I'll let you know. I will be needing a top plate and shift rod eventually. Also, I called Sierra about their mounts and the service rep did not know if they were delrin or not and was supposed to get back to me but did not.

The top plate for the exhaust adapter and a 20” shift rod?

That is correct. Replacements for this mangled plate and this 25" shift rod.

But from what I gathered you’re going from 25” to 20” correct? I have both the plate and 20” rod taking up room on a shelf.

Yes going from 25" to 20". I assume the plate (#18260A2) is the same but the rod is 5" different. Right now my focus is on getting the brackets and power trim ship-shape so no hurry on these right now. Will send you a pm.

This is as far down as the power trim will go with no weight of the engine on it. I suspect this is not normal. Also, when turning the pressure relieve screw out a turn or two it leaks fluid. I think the drilling done to get the old nylon screw out messed it up. So I’m thinking the trim unit is toast at this point.

I think it would be the manifold assembly (#811604F) that I'd need to replace, what are the ram clamps?

So I think by "ram clamps" you are referring to full powertrim units along with transom brackets, swivel bracket and steering arm? Also by the picture it looks like the pump may need to be inside the boat. Is that correct?
