is there that much difference?...or just most have setup (hardware)...more suitable for a6......

me trying to learn tuning am highly interested in what the difference in the 2 or 3 (a10) for that matter......and especially what u racers are doing to tweak these maps.....

im not a racer but help others that do race....but i do all my tuning and mapping.....so far not much more than copy and paste.......i dont have the data catchers that yall use either.....only egts and visual pistons and plugs.....havent messed alot with live footage of brucato but plan to

I'm sure my messing with him didn't help, I have no real boat- so I have no dog in this fight other than I have know Dave for 8-10 years or so racing little boats. He took this project as passionately and closed eared as he did the RC stuff- not knocking it, but your gonna deal with what he dealt with here if thats what you choose, and on the RC forums for that matter, plenty of people far deeper in the know than he thought he was. just my worthless .02 He had a picture of one of my boats sitting dead in the middle of the coarse during a race with his blazing by, that he loved to post whenever the door opened. His boat was wicked quick , but that biotch wouldnt finish a heat on the best day, loose aint always good - see insert stubborn here
Anyway - After a few years of that chit- I decided , whenever and wherever he ****ed up- he was gonna hear it from me, hence my busting his balls at every turn for the worst.
Hell I paid him compliments when due, but thats Dave . Sorry if I helped him out the door- the rebuild portion of the thread was great - and frankly the motor stuff , because of past knowledge, was even better.

what is the tuning software that is used for these engines? also, what data logger works with these ECUs? This is all pretty new to me, I have done it for years on autos and bikes, love it!

data logger...aim dash gives u more than i can dicifer...some use vbox to record time to distance, g force (i think?)....but doesnt allow ecu to tap in....correct me if im wrong guys

the merc guys can chime in on merc software....im on brucato. (just what i have and used to using)

very cool, I'm digging in to it now! We used a product called Bazzaz on the race bikes, it has auto tune features for fueling maps, would be really cool if there was something like that for the boats, but not sure how it would work since there is not a collector to monitor both banks.

If you have a smart Phone there are aps that will record any thing you want with the G force chip in the phone and lap times and compute the elapses time and HP. you can also blue tooth your rpm and throttle position to it.
