Erik I thought that computer looked familiar, here is the three stock a6 fuel tables. Some more stuff in the background but this is most of what we need. As in I’d be jetting differently that straight 88’s

I wondered if that "box" he had might have had anything to do with his tuning issues? I've seen guys build stuff like that on "ram air" hoods when we were drag racing cars and have hell tuning carbs. I'm carb stupid so no idea, just wondered.

I'm carb stupid. . but carbs don't like positive psi so i been told.... never heard of 7 psi on fuel. ..... if i was him. .. id rip that junk ass carb vortex off the front. .. put laser/svs laser on front..... start with a48 on plus side and tune from there. ..... watchIng pistons top

If you know what your looking at this is why you don't cruise around the lake with an A6 with a stiff prop and bitch when you stick. Anyhoo..........now were getting into the cool shiz about how stuff works

I helped one guy work on his map for cruising and was surprised how much vacuum it made. Put us in this area I think

agreed, this is the stuff that fascinates me!! Tuning EFI is cool stuff. The amount of power that lies in the tune is insane in most things. On the last race bike we built for 2017 race season we gained over 24 wheel horsepower in just dyno tuning alone.

I know little about this but do have the brucato and found the difference was about 8 points between the top two cylinders and the bottom 2 and the middle at 4 but this was on a lake boat turning about 6800.
What is meant by load on the chart?

These +% numbers, are they as a result of watching, maintaining ideal temp range with positioned sensor or only HP values.

aim dash is a blessing for this, amazing how far we have come.

Coffeeguy, load is the the table on the left side. It is really vacuum, the top of the map is zero vacuum he bottom depending on the map if full vacuum.
Merc wasn’t stupid, these base maps are very good. I’ve been playing with them for about 15 years, lots of dyno time and been it lots of box’s Very few times do maps very a lot. Meaning most guys arrive at the same conclusions.

I always come back pretty close to an A6. It really is a very good map. Mercury engineers are wicked smart and this was basically their factory race engine. It is extremely hard to improve on any of it, whether it be in the port work or the fuel map. Take the soft rev limiter out and you're pretty much there other than some minor tweaks where the boats idle in

Those offsets are factory merc. Very few of the guys that just play with mapping touch them. Only with lots of dyno time (pressure sensors and exhaust gas analysis) will you be able to eke much more.
Remeber, and this was missed in fongs chest. These motors get help from above, that help requires fuel. All six holes do different amounts of work.

AHHH nice. Same stuff. Here's a screencap I grabbed from the virtual machine inside my Linux PC. It's going to take a bit of work but I think I can use quite a bit of that info in the box I'm working on. Knowing the idle and WOT vacuum is a big piece to getting one started and fired up, although I'm sure as hell not going to guinea pig with a nic motor, especially a drag. LOL.
