I don't run carbs but I have been working on fuel maps for 2.5's for the last 7 years. I know what Mercury does for the bottom cylinders in injected engines and what we found in my big project last year where we had the ability to tune individual cylinders at all rpm ranges

Lol! I don't have my laptop in front of me but I know there's 9% more fuel in the bottom two cylinders from 9000 and up. Below that it varies but 6% is a good number. 6% in the middle two cylinders at high rpm. 1 and 2 are your base. That's in a stock A6

I'm sure my messing with him didn't help, I have no real boat- so I have no dog in this fight other than I have know Dave for 8-10 years or so racing little boats. He took this project as passionately and closed eared as he did the RC stuff- not knocking it, but your gonna deal with what he dealt with here if thats what you choose, and on the RC forums for that matter, plenty of people far deeper in the know than he thought he was. just my worthless .02 He had a picture of one of my boats sitting dead in the middle of the coarse during a race with his blazing by, that he loved to post whenever the door opened. His boat was wicked quick , but that biotch wouldnt finish a heat on the best day, loose aint always good - see insert stubborn here
Anyway - After a few years of that chit- I decided , whenever and wherever he ****ed up- he was gonna hear it from me, hence my busting his balls at every turn for the worst.
Hell I paid him compliments when due, but thats Dave . Sorry if I helped him out the door- the rebuild portion of the thread was great - and frankly the motor stuff , because of past knowledge, was even better.
I have gone to find myself , If I return before I get back - Keep me here

Is that modifiable in the merc software or did you measure it another way? I've poked around in a few stock and modded A6 tunes but just to kinda see how their tables looked on the surface. I didn't pull up modifiers or really drill down to see what I could change. I guess I'm going to need to find an XP laptop if I want to start working on my own box.

There are tables labeled Group 2 for the middle cylinders and Group 3 for the bottom. You can change the numbers in 1000 rpm increments from 1000-5000 then 500 rpm increments from 5500-10500. You can change the rpm stations but you only have 11 to choose from so if you want to add say a 11000 rpm station you have to give up another one. I wish I had my laptop, I'd take pictures of the base map and the group trims

Found a screen shot of the stock A6. Notice the fuel at 10500? Basically a soft limiter. Drag engines usually idle around 100 kpa and when you floor it it runs up to about 157ish, running off the top row or two Click image for larger version.
