    Big outboard fibreglass pod.

    I have been looking at setback and brackets. Not many people on here seem to choose grp pods. I would have thought they would be cheaper to DIY make than aluminium but is there a strength/bonding issue.

    Has as anyone made one for a large v6? WHat sort of layup would one require?

    Whaler made them for the outrage series. They were very heavy. Internal structure with fore and aft stringers and wood on trans side and wood on motor side. Glass was about 1/4'' thick on most other surfaces. Bullet proof to say the least....Theirs were capped/sealed and full of foam.
