    I was there (at the mold builders shop) when they built the tooling for the Villain and the Nova. Lot of water testing went into those boats and they perform very well. Nice old boat..

    83 V-King, 96 Mariner, 200 hp ff block 2.5 w/a 28p choppa

    Cool, and thanks. I see you are in Florida. My son will be taking the boat to Miami area soon as I finish repairs. Military transfer from Colorado. Hope he gets many years of fun with it.

    my son sold his v-king and bought another boat....i won't say what.....but he redid everything internally and used this......http://www.preforms.com/......his boat is now 100% composite so now more rot worries......if you want to see what he did just let me know and i'll send the link......great customer service and always responded to any questions......

    Well, i don't really want to go that far. Other than sentimental value the boat is only worth 6 to 8 grand. But yes, all input is good and would love to see.

    Interesting, I did look at preforms site but still not sure how far i will go with mine.
    In pics looks like the balsa core was left in or did he replace core? Send me forum link,

    That's real nice glass work, very neat. The pre-form stuff is real nice to work with. Makes it easy.

    Great,
    I found the original brochure that came with my boat. It shows built with no core just fiberglass (9 layers) and northern spruce stringers. Good thing I didn't drill holes to check core! I tried to post the page but manage attachments isn't coming up.
