Who makes trailers for a Stevens 18' silouette?

I've been looking for somewhere I can purchase a new (or used) trailer for my 1967 Stevens 18' silhouette. I have contacted several companies that make trailers. I tell them it's a V-drive and they look at me like I'm nuts. If I contact them by phone you can tell they haven't got a clue as to what I'm referring to. The term "drag boat" gets no luck either. I realize it's an old boat, but there are still flat bottom drag boats being made today. Anytime I get a lead such as Vance I find they are out of business. Any help would ba appreciated, thanks.

Okay, that sure was a bust. 925 looks and not one response. I'm going to get a fresh tank of argon go see the guys at Taylor steel and build one myself.

Give Quinton at Strongback Trailers a call. If you have all the dimensions or better yet can take him the boat he’ll build you a piece of art! (941) 755-3111

Thanks. I will call there tomorrow. Bradenton, Florida, I know it well. I used to go there every three months to visit my mother. She moved back to Michigan three years ago. Anyway, thank you for the information, greatly appreciated.

I called Strongback trailers four times. Someone answered the phone once, said I would have to talk to Quinton, took my information and said Quinton would call me back. After no call back I called another three times and left messages. Never heard a word. I think it would be common courtesy to return a call, I guess Quinton doesn't have common courtesy.

Wonder where all the California flat bottoms etc get their trailers. There are a bunch out there.
