Another one done and few to go-

I picked this boat up over a year ago to use as an intercostal cruiser. My dad (who is dealing with cancer) saw it and said "I think I would like to have another one of those to use up North". So my response ended up being "let me fix it up a little bit for you and can take it". I sure hope he is able to get some enjoyment from it. A little sea dek and hes ready to go- This is what we ended up with-Thank you to Rustem, Abe, Quinton, and Randy for all of your help.

Looks great joe! Last time I saw it you had hoses running out of the bottom pulling vacuum and it was stripped sitting on foam blocks.

The lake that I grew up on had a very active Whaler dealer so they were really common. My dad had a brand new Montauk in 86' but it had a 75 merc. on it back then. This one will offer him a little more squeeze and should make him smile. I fixed up a 15' for my son, and have a 18 outrage in process now along with a 17 Newport waiting in the restoration line (I admit that I am little sick). But unlike a car, motorcycle, or plane, you can enjoy a boat with your family and friends just sitting on the beach or anchored and don't even need to have the motor running.

Yep, it was surprisingly dry but we pulled on it for a few days to draw any moisture before glassing the hull and liner perimeter. We also raised the transom a little and added a structural knee in the splash well before paint.Click image for larger version.
