Testing with R&D by Ballough can happen without actually being in the race

I think that Ballough can test and help develop the MTI cat without the cat being entered into racing.

The Research and re-design can happen offline

Ballough would be paid for this service and still race with victory

I think I would require bigger windows,,, closterfobic would best describe that arrangement
most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

If i was MTI, i would hire someone who races in Superboat stock, and help to modify the hull bottom to run better in this race circuit

    I would hire Gary Ballough

    .
Randy doesn't need to hire anyone. He has tons of knowledge from his past and current business. He also has one of the best set-up/most knowledgeable guys in the marine industry on his payroll. They are not used to running with limited power and it takes a special designer to be out front consistently. Wright now there is one guy doing it....

curious what the process is when introducing a new cat into a race circuit

I thought you race in season #1, get feedback from racers, adjust the hull bottom, go to race season #2

do it all over again for race season #3

but it seems MTI pulled out just after 1 season

Either competitive or not...does seem to be quite an investment to drop after very little run time. Torrente was driving this hull and might be able to comment on it...or not.

    Wait , wait

AZ, are you giving us subliminal messages

What you're really saying is that if Torrente raced in #5 that it could've won?

    It makes perfect sense,

I agree with Joe. Randy and his team are more than capable of building, testing a boat that can compete if they choose. This boat was built for a team not a MTI factory team. Not sure why it was sent back. Maybe they will make changes. In case some do not know Randy built boats for the Victory Team for years that started with a Skater bottom. Also as good as the O/B DW’s run Team Performance Boat Center decided on a what???? MTI for their new race boat. Not a Doug Wright 40 or 44 whatever they call it. I find this interesting. Lastly there are some new Stock Class boats coming the circuit with someone that has money behind them. Should get to be a lot fun the coming year or two. We can all stay tuned!
