No idea where we will find a SANE party to discuss it with.

When I see an STV entering Mosquito Bay at 20 MPH, struggling to stay on plane in front of the State Police who didn't give it a second thought (why would they when NO law was broken?) and then read 50 posts of TOTAL HYSTERIA about PROOF of RECKLESSNESS, DISREGARD FOR HUMAM LIFE and VIOLATION OF FICTITIOUS LAW, it don't give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

I can't blame you for feeling this way Pete. There's a lot to think about and worry about being the front man here, not to mention all the work involved.
It would be nice if there was a general understanding among all who attend to try to be as considerate of other watercraft on the lake as possible. I know when a float boat came down the campsite channel leaving a big wake Rocky jumped up and yelled for the guy to slow down and we all ran to our boats so they wouldn't bang together. Law or no law when going through Mosquito Bay we need to extend the same courtesy we desire if boats are rafted together. I believe the law states no more then 5mph when within 150' of another watercraft. I think if were tight among ourselves that one thing, but we have to leave plenty of space when it's not our group. I spoke to Everett and he was planning on apologizing to the Sacandaga facebook group. Don't know if he has actually done that as of yet but I think coming from him it may be a start in mending the rift.
Would be nice if this would die down and we could continue, but I totally understand where your coming from Pete.

The rule is 100 feet from shore, anchored boat, swimmer, etc. There is NO distance rule for vessels underway. The northern entrance to Mosquito Bay is 250 FEET WIDE (wider this time of year) the southern entrance is 750 FEET WIDE. Don't have to be Von Braun to realize the center of the channel has NO SPEED LIMIT. May not be the best thing to do, but the blue Viper video posted OVER and OVER SHOWED A PERFECTLY LEGAL OVERTAKING SITUATION IN THE CENTER OF THE CHANNEL.

Mosquito Bay needs to be off limits on the weekend, period. There is absolutely no way that we can operate in there in any fashion and satisfy any of those lib retards.

Satisfy libtards!= mission impossible. When (if) I boat at Sacondaga again,it will not be because I'm part of any event. I come as an individual,I boat as an independent, and will take responsibility for myself.BUT now and then may need some help up the hill. And I still say someone put that dumpster in front of me

He did several days ago. His post was very thoughtful and from the heart. He got exactly ONE lukewarm response then all the monkeys went back to chirping.

I have tried to open a dialog with both Sacandaga Friends and the Sheriff's Dept. I WAS BLOWN OFF BY BOTH so as far as I'm concerned they can all pound sand.

I wish so strongly I could round up the bunch of homewreckers I ran with 40 years ago. Bring them up there for a weekend and those candy asses would learn the REAL definition of fear.
