Good to know, a friend had asked me about one of those; glad I claimed ignorance. I thought all the bugs were worked out by 2002.

I've heard of good ones and some positive stories.
Also that they're a PIA to trouble shoot.

I think a lot depend on owner, oil, octane, maint/care.

    There is a pair of '2000 225's on Fla Craig's for $2800.

Just stay away Buddy or you will be sad. Although if you buy a pair and have issues that should be all needed to bring you over to the black side.

Which came first, chicken or the egg??

Company was already on life support and the EPA said you shall have a green motor or no motor.

Barely paying bills then being forced to invest in R&D to survive??
    Tic, toc, tic, toc.

Cant imagine many behind the scenes expecting success.

Interestingly the early reports were good.
The auto mfgrs were rumored to having running prototypes w/DI powerheads under the hood.

    OMCs and Merc.

I commented on the other site... But its great to see you back doing the cuddy thing. Your old threads were a big inspiration to me, and my wife and I have been "cottaging" On our Superboat for years now. Instead of looking for speed every off season.... I now look for more storage! HAHAHA!
