I like how it’s coming out.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Thx Az!
Still don’t understand why even though they are correct on my phone, they like ad inverted??
Yes on holes in transom.
For rigging tubes.
Sorted and installed bulkhead connectors for steering yesterday too.
The late model loopers went to single entry point for rigging but with fuel and oil lines, it’s really, really tight and I don’t like it.
So I ordered 3/8” hose barb bulkhead connectors to mount on fuel/VRO pump side of front of lower pans.
This will free up a ton of space in the rigging tubes.
Also, last section of floor is removable for access to fuel p/u’s.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

Are you posting from phone or computer?
For some reason I thought if pic is taller than it is wide it does that if you crop it make it so it wider than taller it doesn't rotate it..but looking at these they are taller..unless cropped and saved? Greg?!LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

I’m now on pool building detail.
The good is, it’s coming along nicely so maybe if....., I can get it to the point that mamma and the grandsons can use it....., she won’t know I’m working on the project
Michael, both pixs I just loaded, we’re from my phone and are correct on it.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

Hot and sweaty from chopping all this honeysuckle up, how's the pool project coming??? Build it yourself or what, tell us all about it.

Building it myself.
The wife’s brother had a 12 x 20 above ground built 30 yrs ago and is still going strong.
Amazingly.
They have their own little nirvana built behind their house, including the pool and a killer deck.
I don’t relax/unwind/unplug very well and used to be a boat on Lake Erie was the only place/way until hanging at their place.
Now their place works too.
Kind of a social experiment.
If we had that in our backyard would it be the same???
Building a 12’ x 24’ w/a min of 7’ of deck around it.
According to my testing ( ) it takes a min of 6’ to be able to walk around a chase lounge and where ours will be, will have sunshine from sun up to sun down so I want to be able to follow the sun, all the way around the pool.
Add to that, Ive always wanted the deck from hell.
As a lot of us did as young adults, I did construction.
I was lucky enough to have worked for some talented people and have built some killer decks, patios etc.
But I’ve never had my own and always wanted to build one.
I had one in my mind for our old place (where you brought your Checkmate for me to put the transom in) but we moved before I could build it.
So I’m building it here.
If it works, and I’m satisfied, content to set on the deck/pool in my own back yard......, Ill save like a bazillion dollars per summer!
Making headway but totally underestimated the PIA of doing it myself.
As in, no helper for leveling posts, squaring the pool walls etc, etc.
Weather on top of that.
I had one stretch where I was able to work 3 days in 2 wks!
Worst is behind me now and cooking w/gas.
Deck will be tied to existing wrap around porch on house but need the pool there first as it will locate everything else.
Maybe I’ll start another thread so as not to muck up this one.
