I don't know how you Snowbirds can handle it. If I'm not outside in it every day, I get grumpy. My day yesterday: sun up to sun down...48 at sunrise...mid 60s and that sky the rest.

Will be wrapped in glass, bonded to platform.
Started with 3/4” pcs but realized they’d be an inch thick after glassing and the glass is doing the work, not the wood in the knees.

PS, locked and loaded for the trip north.

Look at all those pricklies ! Yikes. I enjoy walking around barefoot in the summer.
In texas / florida, don't they have those spines in the grass? I don't know what they call them. Prickly grass burrs that hurt like a sonofabetch.
But no skeeters or flies makes this a nice time of year. I just don't like the cold. My vehicles don't like the cold. Bumps hit harder, more noises/creaks/sqeaks.
If it was nice out all year, I'd never get any projects done though!

My truck likes the cold the boat runs better also. There’s no spikes in my grass but I wear shoes this time of the year the grass is cold when it’s 60 out and only 55 dew point it’s still wet in the am.

One of the only negatives about out here...harsh environments breed harsher inhabitants.

After a couple of challenges, everything’s home safe and sound.

Left Fla yesterday morning and made great time until a 1/2 hr n of Atlanta when an idler pulley on my 1/4 million mile truck, seized and sawed the serpentine belt in half.
That took out water pump, alternator and power steering pump.
Happened in the middle of a curve and the loss of power steering about drove us into door of truck beside us.

We were lucky and made it to next exit where I googled and found a local Napa willing to deliver parts to us in parking lot of gas station we limped to
Manager had to go to another store for pulley before delivering it to us.
Was blown away to only burn 2 hrs there.
    (why we carry tools)

Think Autozone would have done that ?

Drove 2 more hrs (14 for that day, made it down in 17 1/2 hrs) and stopped for night.
Left 75* and sun and awoke to snow in hotel parking lot for final 3 1/2 hrs home this morning.
