    Thx Greg.

Picked up the motor in the back of the truck a 1/2 mile from your house.
W/a better schedule we would have called for lunch
We did have blackend Grouper on the water at Berts Bar in Matlacha

As to progress for Jetflite, yes.

Started slinging glass at the bracket and is coming along nicely.
Plan is/was to have it done and installed before bringing the motors home from Fla though time is waning.
Want to get to that point ASAP so I can temp hang motors to head to ramp and see how it floats to determine weight distribution.

I have built up 1/8" of glass on both sides of motorboard section and ready to move on to box/enclosure.
    Im happy w/how its coming/looking.

Also, just rec'd replacement hinges for the sun lounge lid so I can mock it up then take it to the Checkmate factory for them to repair the cushion where the hood scoop used to be.

    Greg, remember this?

PS, on the GS, the classic bike market is appreciating aggressively.
I plan on owning 4 or 5 for retirement investments.
Way more fun than a 401K and easy to sell off any/all.
Put them right by your museum Stream

I love the GS700 as well, nice score on that one!

    Headway.

Installed the center bulkhead to the bracket and fit the motor board braces. Plan to glass them in today.

Got the new hinges for the lid for the sun lounge and mocked it up and looks good.
That stupid thing is the main driver behind this project.
BTW, heres a good one for you. As delivered, the lounge was very hard to open and close but I wrote this off to all the mounting hardware being loose.
That was part of the cause but not all.
Although the orig gas shocks for the lid were old, worn, rusted etc, I kept them to spec a new set to.
Way more to spec'ing these things than you know.
When I built the lounge for my last Sonic I bought/exchanged several sizes of shocks until getting it right.
The #s I took off this set didnt match anything I could find so now what?
I put a block of wood on a set of scales and pushed down on the shock till it moved and then read the scale.
    140 lbs!!!!!
Times two shocks! So 280 lbs of force to hold the lid open????
    Yikes
Then I spent an hr on the internet trying to decipher the formulas I found on sizing lift shocks.
    Again, Yikes!

Plan, as of now, is to head to Fla Mon morning w/the truck and trailer to retrieve the motors and scooter.

We are under level 3 snow emergency and Im out of beer.
They can arrest us for being on the road.

    Hmmm, quite the conundrum.

Calling for a low of -2 tonight.
Will prep for a 5 AM departure, do a re-con/beer mission and cross fingers.

    Not that bad.
4” - 6” but blowing/drifting and not many plows in our area.

Locked and loaded, coffee pot set for 4:30 AM.
I’ll sneak to the freeway and should be good from there.

That would never happen here, 4-6" pretty normal. It's law here must have true winter tires between Oct and April, all seasons don't cut it. Wind on the highway sucks because of the black ice it creates, snow not so bad. Guess I will drink for you today.
