    The standard hull weight was listed at 3200 lbs. My boat was layed up with AME 4000 epoxy resin which was lighter than the standard layup; so conservatively speaking:
    Hull = 3000 lbs
    Dry Weight of each motor = 477 lbs (477 X 2 = 954lbs)
    96 gallon fuel = 614.4 lbs (96 X 6.4lbs = 614.4 lbs)
    batteries = 100 lbs (2 X 50 lbs = 100 lbs)
    cabin/cockpit weight guestimate = 300 lbs
    rigging/steering = 100 lbs

    Total with fuel = 5068.4 lbs estimate

    Gary's boat should be very close. I can't imagine there is a big variance between the 25' and 28' Checkmates..

    I hope that answers your question! lol

    Yeah wish sometimes my boat wasn't so heavy, but it rides unbelievable in rough water which is what we run in quite often. Only went 70mph with 300xs. 18":sm box with 6" jackplate s

    I spent a lot of time/money trying to figure out why my first Sonic kept eating trailer tires.

    I was guestimating 4500 - 5000 lbs complete.
    Finally towed it across a set of scales (after 4th set of 4 tires) and died when they handed me a slip saying 6600 lbs!
    The C class tires gave me 6300 capacity
    On my first move to Fla, we used the Sonic as a U-Haul. Cabin was packed (including a 40" TV) to the ceiling and cockpit to the gunnel.
    Blew 1st tire before crossing Ohio line, 2 in Ky and 3 rd in Dekalb Ga at 2 AM.
    Doh!

    Guessing 100 - 150 when done.

    The aluminum 19" I had built for the first 24' Sonic weighed 150 which was identical to the two 75 lb, steel tube Gil bracket it replaced.

    The 24'" glass bracket on Sonic #2 was very close in weight to the aluminum.

    Hahaha that is funny ,Gary. Yeah all I know is I have a slip from Bob Latham that had my boat weighing 10,100 lbs. That was with a cheap aluminum float-on triple axle trailer. No winch post.... Flimsy fenders weighed maybe 1000lbs? 454s Trs drives etc... Standard heavy exhaust,etc... I don't know about fuel load...but going to outboards I wonder the weight now?

    A buddy bought a 23 searay laguna center console from a doctor. The guy just wanted to tow it to the keys and the trailer that came with it had a blow out. Left him stranded on alligator ally. He went to Owens and sons by us and had them build a 8lug triple axle 12” i-beam so if something went wrong he could take 4 of 6 tires off and still keep truckin. people say less is more when it comes to trailers more is more

    the t-3 trailer really needs Z rated tires it’s been 120+ Behind the cummins I slowed down after picturing the tire blowing the fender off and destroying the boat.

    On a 7 hr trip to Dale Hollow Lake, the Sonic trailer blew a tire that took out the brake lines.
    I skidded through several intersections on the remainder of that trip.

    I did get good at changing flats though. I could be back on road in 15 mins after blowing a tire.
    No, Im not proud of that

    The guy that sold me this boat laughed when I asked him about a spare. Said the trailer was new and didnt need one
    Found one in his shed and sold it to me for e $50.
    The friend that picked the boat up in Long Island for me called to say, "you know this guy sold you a flat spare w/no valve stem right?"

    Any more pictures of that motor bracket

    I have a swim/motor aluminum bracket that has 30" of set back, too much

    I want to build a bracket that runs the full seven-foot beam 4 inches above the bottom,
    We have invented the world; WE see

    The motor board is two layers of 3/4”, 11 ply Okume w/2 layers of 2 oz mat sandwiched between as glue.
    Standard 1/4” ply as side bulkheads.
    I slotted the flanges of the platform to allow it to sit on top of motor board bulkheads.
    That will be boxed in after insides are glasses.
