A very special thank you to Tom and Gina for yet another outstanding BBQ and bonfire. Tom ordered great weather for us and it was beyond outstanding. Great to see old friends and make new ones. Looking forward to River Ranch.

I had a great time. The people are what make boating so cool. A lot of knowledge here in Fl. Powerheads being changed, engines removed, boats sold, fixed my stuff so I could run. These guys know their stuff, oh and some damn fast boats. Winston did 95 between my legs in the tunnel. Tom and Gina are amazing hosts with a large network of quality friends. This run was first class. Thank you Tom, Gina, and all the other nice folks I met. Looking forward to River Ranch.

Man I was all set to go to this event this year but I had to miss another one. Dont buy a Hemi 5.7 guys. Only 108k miles on my Ram Truck and it was DONE!! Couldn't afford to buy a new motor nor did I have the desire to own another one Hoping to have a new Ford F-150 by River Ranch. Keep the pics coming guys

SORRY I missed this trip...funny story...picked up a lwp gearcase for my 2.4 merc on my 20' SEACRAFT w/ jackplate, installed new throttle/shift cables on binicle, went to boat ramp and while launching , put in reverse and it went forward, forward was reverse...thought wow a lefty gearcase...so went and got a lefty cleaver and tried again...felt ok so went for a ride...after about an hour I laid into it, felt strong, ran it up to 5000 rpm @ 55mph and bang ...it blew up...had to get back to the ramp in reverse 2 mi....took it apart only to find out the binicle shifter was backwards...I was running it in reverse the whole time ha ha ha...never new you could do that...clutch dog gave out under load, only 3 pins in reverse and 6 pins in forward, now I fixed the binicle and now have a righty and a big bill...see what assuming does for you...learned another lesson...#&#$ HAPPENS...anybody else have that happen???...PS missed a good PARTY

When the fall run comes around everyone needs to make an effort to contribute to the fund jar. Just give what you value the enjoyment you receive so that its not such a financial burden on our host every time. This is so much better then going out for a $75.00 dinner that its absolute no brainer. No one asked me to put this up or discussed it with me. Its just my personal observation of the effort put forth by the very gracious host twice a year. We get to run as a group for 3 days consecutive (dosen't get any better in my book).

Many thanks to all who came to the BBQs and river rides . There is no expectation on our part for donations but it really is wonderful and it makes it easier to plan and fund the next one for sure !! Many people too numerous to mention help out with these parties , but I must say that I just really enjoy seeing other people have fun and sit around a warm fire . great times and thanks to all who came and all those that brought and cooked food as well . Everyone is welcome at my place as long as you are under control ! Well ....somewhat !

My buddy reassembled my shifter after we installed a new shift cable. The shifter was such that the cable could be attached above or below the pivot point. First time on the water, I put it in reverse to unload from the trailer and the boat pushes forward. Shift to forward and it backs off the trailer. It took lots of focus to come back to the dock and reload after riding around for awhile. It was like trying to ride a bike with your arms crossed to opposite sides.
Thanks for a great time at my first Suwannee River Run. Hoping to make the Jasper Run later this year. Thanks to Mark for letting me try a different prop. And thanks to Tom for putting this together. Didn't get to meet you Tom but did have a bite to eat and hung out around the fire Sat night. And yes, did fund the collection bucket. Good times. Thanks to all.Last edited by DangerNewb; 03-11-2018 at 07:45 AM.
