Mercury 12” mids never had a shiftable lower unit so never was a shift shaft for it.

Would cut down standard shift shaft to length needed. Pretty easy to cut and weld.

There is a fair bit of engineering and fabrication involved in making a 12" Shiftable mid work, not to mention several approcahes to doing it... far more that just a shift shaft... good luck on the project... cheers

My first 12” had a shiftable sporty on it......I think I still have all the brackets, bits & pieces.
I’ll see if I can find em and get some pics for you.

Yea I might be doing something above my pay grade Mike. The plate and mid have been drilled and there is a 200 coned lower already bolted on. Hope I can make it all work. Any tips appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Greg I will stand by to see what you have.

My brother and I just went from 15” to 12” Geiger’s and we altered our 15”. Be sure to index it before cutting. We welded back and polished. Looks great and works perfect. Very kool option. Thanks
