Coosa seat/accessory mounting options
I've heard that Coosa will not take a screw... that being the case, what does everyone do to screw down seats, trim pumps etc?

Counter sink a piece of 1/4'' - 3/8'' alum into the coosa and then glass over. Drill and tap it to mount whatever you want. I use 5200 sealant on the threads to seal water out to prevent corrosion of the alum.

I figured something along those lines would be the most efficient way to go!

This is the future for a lot of rigging needs. This two part will pull core apart before it lets loose if its prepped correctly for a good bond. You can get the studs in up to 3/8 I believe.

Six or eight of those and your seat isn't going anywhere.

the weld mount stuff is nice, but hard to find. Tried using it 10 years ago constantly ran into supply issues.
when I spoke to weld mount reason was it has a short shelf life and needs to be stored in a cool preferably refrigerated storageRaybo Marine http://www.raybomarine.com/

Cool stuff, but I will stick with the bedded alum pcs. I have used fiberglass hole saw discs with a mach screw on them to accomplish the same thing when hanging rigging under decks from adel clamps.

You brought up an old memory. Related to this thread sort-of. All the 22, 30, 38 Velocity's, when new, left the Pompano factory with simply a generous blob of silicone sealant holding down the Rule 1500 bilge pump. They never came out, unless something unusual hit them hard.

"If" you have any space at all, under the seat bases, I would through-bolt them...utilizing a small PyHi deck plate. Or just leave the hole open. If not, go with what was mentioned.
