EE is the block stamp. EE is 200 carb. FF is 200efi. 150’s are AA and BB. My xr6 says CC. DD is 175 ect.

FF- I believe the FF was also used in carb motors- I had a Quicksiliver remanufactured PH that was labeled 200 EFI/Carb - James Perry or Chris Carson can tell us.

Towards the end of the 2.5 production they were using whatever blocks they could at Mercury putting motors together. I’ve seen late carb (98-99) FF’s also. The block stamps tend to hold pretty true before that. Of course these are 20 year old motors now, so who knows what’s been replaced or swapped.
