New to it all - gear ratios/props

Looking for some advice setting up a LCB Fast Cat with a new 300xs.........
300 XS HD SM 1:62 20″ RH or...........300 XS HD SM 1:75 20″ RH
Love the boat so far and Errol has been really great to work with........headed his way soon to put on this new rig. Just want more info on the choices!! The boat has a 250 xs now with a vented bravo prop.......Love to fish but want speed as well.........can someone help with thought on gear ratio and props for this boat? Thanks

It depends on the weight. I am running a 62 on mine. If it weighs more then 1500 Lbs. (hull only) then I would go with a .75. Either way, it will be fast.

Thanks for the input Joe! I'll check on hull weight. It's been a fun boat and just hits about 70 with 1 onboard......the 300 should really help give me a little more speed. I'll let ya know! Thanks again and Happy New Year

If you are only running 70 now then go with 75 for sure. Happy new year to you as well.
