200 opti sport jet losses rpm after 6-10 seconds
at WOT gets 5700 rpm for 6-7 seconds then drops to 5000
cleaned injectors
new reeds
gone thru compressor
checked tracer valve, regulators etc
fuel pressure 95/105
air pressure dead headed 128 psi
cleaned air injectors fuel injectors replaced 1 cyl that tested low flow
fuel pumps test good
has spark on all 6
swapped crank sensor with known good
can cyl drop test at speed no effect on cyl 5 or 6 above 3500 rpm exept within first attempt at WOT where its holding 5700 before it falls to 5k
cyl 6 has the new set of injectors and has been issue since beginning..
missing something seems sensor or electrical as mechanicals are sound running out of ideas here

I'd try a coil on # 5 or 6 . Also take a good look at the 5 pin where the harness plugs into the coil. We have seen them melt together there. If you have a temp gun ,I like to check the coil temps ,it's a good way to see if anyone is dead . Are you looking at air and fuel psi at wot ? Have you looked into the jet pump stator veins and impeller ? Make sure the shift gate is not dropping down a little at wot . hf ...

Fuel vent clogged or fuel restriction of some kind maybe. Put a vacuum gauge inline where the fuel line hooks up to the engine. more than 3 - 4 inches of vacuum will make it starve.

Check the map sensor/load sensor. A issue with one cylinder can through the reading erratic. Or tap test it to see if the piezoelectric board broke.
stuck float in the vst? If you were carb I would say it’s acting like over rich idle loading up the crankcase. Then burning it off for a second when the hammers down.
Another option is cavitation water falsely boosting rpm then your planed off lift and gain clean flow. Is their a noticeable speed change when rpm drop.Last edited by Motv18; 03-20-2018 at 08:19 AM.
