I met the man driving the magnum a few years ago at Tavares.. Funny thing is that the boat did come back down right side up, it did not go all the way over.

I was in the stands for the three boat blowover as well. Photo much like the second one was on the front page of the Miami Herald Sports section next day. Had the paper for many years, got lost somewhere along the way.
Per Rock:
"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."
Per my hero Instigator:
"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

The other guys were Harry Kerslake in the Baja and Danny Piggott. Harry drove the Baja for an OMC dealer in Ocala. Harry also ran his own boat in SD at that time so I got to know him a little. The Baja was really meant to be an SJ boat and had way too much lift to run in U class. Harry told me that at top end he had a lot of trouble keeping it in touch with the water.

Well I'll go ahead and step in it...
Reggie caused that wreck by driving between the 2 others, and at a much greater speed. There was no way at least 2 of them weren't going over.
And discuss...
