Just this year I had to upgrade from my beloved crashed Blackberry 9650 Bold. Still miss it!! So I decided on the i phone 6s. I hated it for the first three months. But am starting to get used to it. Problem with a touch screen with my lifestyle and Shop type work is I had to spend $40.00 on this special bullet proof screen cover thingy and even then the phone catches hell.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. I still like my old phone, but it has gotten very slow. If I take a photo with it, I have to literally wait about 5 seconds for it to appear on the screen. It's been a good phone though. I like the new Note 8, but man these things are getting ludicrously expensive. Phones are now costing more than high-end laptops now. In the situations I am in, I just don't think I can justify spending $1200 for a phone. I would be constantly scared to death of something happening to it.
I still remember being at Jasper and dropping my phone into the water at the starting boat in 2003. Oops! So, sitting at the bottom of the Nickajack lake is my old Motorola flip phone. Maybe it will be recovered 50 years from now.
I'm sure we all remember the days of having a certain number of minutes for cell time. Back then, when I began to use my cell phone for S&F stuff, I would routinely go over my minutes and it would get very expensive at times. I'm so glad those days are gone... well, for now anyway.

That's awesome! I still have my 8200 as well! At the time, that laptop was incredible. I remember lugging that thing around at the Miami boat show in 2004. I had two batteries in mine and that thing got very heavy after a few hours. I was very thankful for the Mercury guys for letting me stash it at the Mercury booth while I did other things. I think my shoulder never fully recovered.
We had no built-in wireless in those days so I remember I had to plug a card into it for that. Miami had just introduced wireless internet at the convention center and I thought I was so high-tech when Rick Mackie was very impressed with the machine. LOL! I loved the 8200 because back then it was one of the few machines that could successfully run Half-Life and Counter-Strike. I thought about using it as some sort of file server since it still works. In the past I did use it as a multiplayer Half-Life server. Haha

I wish I still had my 1st phone. A panasonic with 3 watts of power. You could talk anywhere with it. Middle of the everglades, offshore, anywhere. And all my vehicles had an antennae on them that the phone plugged into. Talk about range! Now we have .03 of a watt and a camera, and can text, whoopie. No one talks anymore....Time to stop calling them a phone maybe?
