    Flow thru electric fuel pump

Anyone know of any pumps that flow thru without being on? Want to cruise without it on and use only on speed runs.....

I had a large Walbro primer pump but it died.

I would think if you try to have the standard diaphram pump pull fuel through an electric pump you are running a risk far above just not having an electric fuel pump at all and leave the fuel system stock as designed. Not to mention if you have a fuel filter as well! If you install an electric pump, just use it. IF you dont want to use it all the time leave it off. Just my thoughts.

Sounds like a crazy way to do a fuel system. Build the system right with good parts. I'm always amazed at people that cheap out on fuel systems when the life of the powerhead depends on it

It claims free flow through... http://ezautoparts.ecrater.com/p/133...tric-fuel-pump
And from the Airtex website ( does not state flow through ) http://www.airtexproducts.com/single...090&id=98756AX maybe call Airtex and ask?

I have this one on my bass rig. I added this to my boat because of the inline fuel and water separator I installed. I did not check for free flow before install... http://www.airtexproducts.com/single-product/?partnumber=E8337&id=98756AX

They both claim 30 GPH free flow. But is not the same as flow through, guess a phone call might be in order.

Here is a recent thread related to your question.... http://www.screamandfly.com/showthre...l-pump-on-Merc
