1996 Mercury 200 EFI oil pump removal

Hi Folks, I've done an oil pump removal on my '96 Merc EFI and the only thing I'm hung up on is the electronic side of it. Everything I've read says to "remove the module". Would that be the warning module? Doesn't that control other warning systems? And I'm not sure what to do about rotational sensor either. Pics would be great. Thanks for any help. BTW I've been on this site countless times but just became a member. Love the info and site in general!

Remove the pump, shaft, sensor, and module (follow wires from sensor). Replace pump with correct block off kit. Do not just cover hole as there is a bushing down in the block that must be secured or it can come loose and wreak havoc. Mix oil in gas and go boating. Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the quick reply. What sensor are you referring to? The one in the oil res? Doesn't the module control other warning systems? Like water temp and the rotational sensor? Thanks again

The sensor near the oil pump. Take the oil reservoir away being you don't need it. There are other modules warning modules for other issues.
