Prather lap cat
This is my first rc boat, got it on eBay a couple weeks ago. Cosmetically it's a little rough but it should clean up. I haven't tried to start the motor, k&b 7.5, but it has good compression. Someone cut the exhaust housing off I think I'll try to find an expansion chamber pipe for it. When's these things blow over do they usually get water in the motor? Anyone ever have one of these? Setup advise?

Never had a lap cat but have two tunnel boats. First, Make sure it floats when it's up side down. The motors are pretty easy to clean the water out of. If the boat sinks then not so much. Try to get off the gas as fast as you can when you lose it and you'll lose it believe me. I've had my boat do a couple of loops before it slammed into the water. I see pipes for 7.5's on Ebay all the time. I have the same engine with a pipe on my Tunnel. I can't remember what my hull is? It's fast but flighty. Dave

I'm thinking put the fuel tank in the front of the rigging box to off set the engine and have radio equipment in the rear. There is foam in it and it's sealed pretty good.

Without looking at my boat, I'm pretty sure that I have the batteries for the servos up front and ended up with a little weight added to keep it down. You can spend a bunch of time trying to get one flyin nice and a breeze will jump up and bite ya right in the ass. I want to up grade my radio, The new gear has gottin cheap enough to get me to do it.
