There is a little kick in them. I have one on my bench I could trace for you and as Tom said 1/2" rigid copper. Let me know if want me to trace it.

That would be great. Sorry it took so long to respond i am new to the sight and couldn't figure out how to get back to the thread. I really appreciate the help. I am restoring a 15 alley my best friend used to race. he was a merc guy and i was OMC. I used to run a 13 with a 75 E. Don't know a lot about the old mercs and unfortunately he passed away.
