My fast boat out for winterbut I got a 24 w a3.0 225. Call it the fast ferry usually use it for that but I’d b willin to take 2 passages if we do it righ can film whole thing. It only goes like 62 bout perfect for dinner at mermaids or Flynn’s. That’s if there’s no probs I don’t have a g+ for whatever’s wrong 2 month+ in cold nights gremlins start to pop up ill have it gone thru thurs or fri before any promises

My value meals on p22. Unless dirk gets dialed in n willing to let that show piece go. That’s the prob the nicest are usually the fastest and they don’t wanna take that beating for 7 miles n break 10 k worth of ****. So it’s deep pockets or older (slower) boats. I’d run my 21 hard the whole way but it has a 2.5 not a3.0. You run a 3liter that long and that hard something is gunna break. These Linder designs were built when you can only get a 200 or 225 n ran in the 70s. The people that put 3 liters on these boats are asking for a big bill after there done. The first half of race is usually pretty nasty. All the 3 liter guys want to run south to north in the cut. N any more than 2-3 boats is just plain hairy. I say we do both. Top 4 to the cut first run against each other. 1v4 n 2v3 n winners of both race. That’s true king of cut. That all can b done in less than a hour. You can be late to kiddie soccer 1 day. Would make a real interesting day. Any boat can run the bay. But only the top 4 sob go from the north of cut to the south. 2 at a time keep it safe n no one can bitch. Cause if u weren’t fast ehnough in the bay you don’t belong running rub rail to rub rail at 90 mph in the amity cut. There’s no way it’s 300 ft wide. More like 100 150 at its widest. N u go outside the Chanel marker someone w get hurt bad. It goes from 8-10 ft to 8-10 inches real fast

the reason why I liked the owner operator concept is because the guy thats driving someone else's boat, has an advantage, will he back off if it gets snotty? he will sleep that night if he breaks something, they can say all they want no no its not like that but thats BS, the owner is the guy thats holding the bag...

A U are absolutely correct but we’re not talking 42 fountains it’s natural to back off in big water no one is risking there life to be kotc vs 2nd rate comp easy the 3 best drivers on li are nowhere to be found on that day. Ecm , ipm , some guy that tore up the stampede in a smallish v bottom , some other guy that beat almost everyone in hot totti runs in a 21,common. Anyone of them would b my fav. Jmo. And again you don’t know who I’m talking bout don’t even bother to argue. Maybe bender or dirk or p22 are in the convo but I think u would all be eating that big guys yellow 21 ( back thanks) rooster tail, he’s the exception to the rule. He would kill himself to win, is very talanted and insane ( good way of cores). So just right there 4 of the best guys I ever watch in a sob are over it I guess. Everyone takes it so serious it’s like being Barry bonds holds the record with a **. But winning is winning just don’t mean as mush as it used to. No offense to bender cause he drives the snot out that boat but easy 5/10 best driver won’t b there weather it’s because they don’t care or moved up boat wise it’s just for fun so I don’t think anyone is risking there life there boat or not to be kotc. Cause u can really get hurt in a 21 in big water so I don’t think anyone goes as hard as they can for 7 miles for nothing but bragging rights, but I’ve seen crazier things in my life. Just remember safety n your life is more important than winning

Oh here we go again about owner operator again. If i break the boat I have to fix it. That boat has all MY rigging and MY setup time.
So you are telling me when I owned my red boat I didn't drive the same way??? NO I was worse!SOB RACING!!! Because Golf, Basketball, Football and Baseball takes only one BALL!

theres always controversy of some sort, this King thing was dormant for Im guessing 20 25 years, so I came up with the idea of rekindling this event, I felt for the safty reasons the bay run would be safer, but last year some crybaby lost, and made a big scene at the ramp, to add insult to injury he had our local 10 time world champion drive the boat, which even if he won he would not have been the official winner, this year I decided to change things and let anyone drive any boat as long as it a single engine 22/23 ob, and we still have issues, Im not patting myself on the back, but I bought this back to life, I spent my money to provide a trophy to the winner and I got Raybo Marine to contribute 2 cheeseburgers and a shake, all some people do is complain, instead of showing up and have a good time, Jesus this is supposed to fun.....The one thing that will be missing is Hoser, I know I take shots at him as he does to me, but on our bay, he and that boat is a legend, (in his own mind ) but I understand anything can happen and having 2 college bound kids with big tuitions is a concern, if he was involved in an unfortunate situation, so far that Billy you get a pass.......

Last year the ( 10x champ wasn’t even there) nonoffsnce maybe arnother yea but I doubt bender avg more than 75-80 last year. You turned a speed race to an indurance race with is cool but so is the fast race down the cut. I’m pretty sure bender knows he is not beating u p22 or hoser in the flats. But I love his ruff water set up. But he has no shot at a flats race. His boat prob runs 80 maybe a lil better. But u can’t do that by the bridge w a 3 liter

Another great point y some of the best drivers won’t get involved what would happen if some knuckle head hurt or 10 x world champ. He has a young son as do hoser. So it breaks the field down to singles and older guys that kid are grown. Great points dirk. I do think there should b a paste boat maybe jump on plane east of bridge if there’s not 30 boats. Take em to 40 ish and drop the flag maybe a couple hundred feet west of bridge so everyone is even. Kinda how x cat does it over seas. Starting from a dig changes people’s set ups n than they wine that they used there hole shot prop not the top end one. That’s y your here to keep us young bucks in check. Not many guys 60 + would do what u do and when he stops his sob craving we must all keep it going. If I was dirk. I’d make coen make me the 27 krypt center console n put a 350 or 400 v rod. Would b great on gas won’t get bear up n I bet would do 75. If I had the coin I’d do it
