09-21-2020, 12:30 PM #2The NFL has suffered tremendous drops in viewership and ratings, particularly among their primetime offerings, since their return nearly two weeks ago. Last week’s Sunday Night Football match-up between the Cowboys and the Rams, suffered a 28% drop in ratings.NBC’s Sunday Night Football showcased two of the best franchises in the NFL over the last decade, despite that, the ratings crashed by nearly 20 percent.

The brother I stayed with in Houston watched two games, not this weekend but last. I don't remember them televising the National Anthem in either game.

The NFL’s Week 3 numbers show that it lost nearly one million viewers over Week 2. Yeah... but that's a million less than the week before; which was down millions versus last season?

Don't forget about all they are losing in ticket sales, concessions and all they other stuff they sell at the stadiums. I would go out on a limb and say they are hurting. Good for them. Just to throw some numbers out, say that the average person will spend $100 for the ticket, parking, a hot dog and a drink. The average is likely higher, but for conversation 100 will work. Now say there are about 60,000 people that go to the game, that is 6 million per week they are losing.
How much are the networks willing to pay when less people watch? How many people have cancelled their Dish or Direct TV football programming? I know a few that did. I hope many more do. It was one thing to allow players to disrespect the national anthem, it is a whole different level to endorse Burn Loot Murder and then play a second black national anthem. Screw the NFL.

NBA Finals Viewership Down by 45%, Lowest Since 1994
Instead of posting the good, if not great numbers that the NBA should have drawn for a Game 1 Finals clash including with millions at home on lockdown and LeBron James on the floor, the NBA saw a catastrophic drop in both ratings and viewership.

NBA Finals Game 2 Ratings Crash by 68%, Least Watched Finals Game in History
A Sept. 2 Harris poll found that 39 percent of respondents who identified as sports fans felt that the league was too political. And another 19 percent said that they had turned off pro basketball because of the NBA’s deep links to China.
