Steering helm replacement

Hi

I have a Verado 400R on my Phantom 25. The tilt helm is not accurate enough. Its a little play in the helm itself. The Verado steering sylinder is dead accurate.

I am looking at Zeiger steering helms, and wonder if they are compatible to Verado Power Steering systems? They look nice too!

i Also have tilt helm that i want to use whit Twin 400 verado s and Also came along a post About the helm change , did You try the 75 cc open center Charlynn ?

Can a seastar helm be used with Verado pump?

You can not use seastar helm , verado helm needs a Char Lynn 400.00 new or the merc danfoss . Char lynn helm is very good and you can get any cc you want. Under 50 cc for single side ram and 75 to 80 for dual rams. Forgot to add getting verado pump output fitting to standard JIC 6 is very hard to find .I just cut merc end off and had a shop weld it on to a new hose , we need a scream and flyer to make a few up as the Merc pump is at a good price. I could use a few for the 28DW boats.

I called Zeiger and ordered there 80 cc as they recomended that on my Twin 400 set up and the tilt helm i allready had from them , how ever i Didnt have tested yet but im sure it does ok as they have set up more systems
