*** Hurricane Irma ***
It's looking like Florida will be hit all over the peninsula, extremely hard. I hope any of you affected by this storm will be safe, and if anybody can help somebody else in need, please consider doing so. This storm is looking like it will be horrendous.
Myself, I am in "Zone A", which is a 'red' zone. I may have to evacuate, but I'm going to keep a close eye on everything. I have my storm shutters up and everything tidied up.
Please everybody, be safe.
Please check the link below, which will show evacuation zones for all of Florida, and will be constantly updated.

Nothing like getting stuck in you car on the interstate... I have friends on 75 going s l o w, that is more stress full than sitting here
I'm staying, this is why we have ins.
Been thru a 4 never a 5 hope it mellows out a little...
I own a tree service and few of my employees took off to NC SC Bamma
why because their better half are forcing them to
Nothing like getting stuck in you car with a storm right behind you .
Wilma hit us as a 3 then gained strength over the shallow hot water in the everglades and became a 4 when it ripped up the east coast
so much for loosing strength over land .
The eye is projected to go right over us
I told my wife to look at the bright side, was just going to replace my roof and air conditioners on the roof , they are going to fly off the roof .
The old section of my house is not built to high wind code 1970 , we are going to ride it out in the new section 1998 which is built to 125 mph code
new construction is now 170mph wind code .We have invented the world; WE see

My Irma experience so far went to the keys on Wednesday to rescue our paramount trailer had other plans, long story short axle broke right at the spindle right at the palm beach county line witch took about 5 hours to get to (unbelievable traffic) was finally able to get it to friends house in northern palm beach where it'll be safer than on a canal in the keys ( hopefully). Thank god for tow truck companies looks like quite a rig but it made it ........ hope everyone stays safe out there, let's hope for the best

The thing that most forget about hurricanes is the tornado's that are created. High winds, rain, and storm surge is expected in certain areas and somewhat predictable. The real deal is the tornado's. Andrew had a lot of them. Wind speeds in a tornado can be far worse than the hurricane sustained and gusting winds.
I have family and friends all over Florida.
Prayers and Hope for all staying and riding the storm out.James H. W2F a V-King... Want 2 Fly a V-King

Just arrived in Orlando with California Task Force 1 a FEMA search and rescue team with a water rescue component from Los City fire dept. Left LA on 8/28 spent a week helping the good people in Katy Tx area, for Harvey now here to help the good people of Florida. Got a lot of good help from the locals who stayed in Tx. My advice if you havent already is to move your family to a safer place. If you stay try to help the first responders with your knowledgeable of your area. Wishing you all the best.

Be safe all, especially my friends on the west coast. It's looking like the next few days are not gonna be fun. Give a shout if anyone needs anything. Hopefully, being closer to the east coast, we won't get the real nasty sustained winds.

Parker, I think they said you should write your name on your arm with a sharpy so they know who you are, That don't sound to good? I know I would have a hard time ever leaving my home for anyone or anything. I hope you guys slide though this, Looks like it's gonna be a long couple of days for you all. Good luck, you guys.
