    Question

hey guys!! im installing gaffig temp gauges for an 85 2.4 merc, 1 for each head. the senders i have are the newer style 2 wire, brown and the black to ground. my question is do i wire the brown straight to the temp gauges and by pass the harness?or do i go through harness for one so the horn will work and wire second one to bypass? THANKS DAN

    Thumbs up

    Dan,

I would do both. Have the stock (rubber grommet) sender go to the horn. There is a brown wire in with the guage harness for a idiot light that is tied into the horn. The Gaffrig guages should have their own (externally mounted) senders that can go to the guages. One horn, one idiot light, two guages, and a water pressure guage. That's what I run. Kind of overkill but, It's worth it to me. My two cents.
