You can weld up sporty and go in the side at pump, or you can leave spotty as is and use a check valve and go in side of the exhaust adapter plate

I ran a one way check valve between my strainer and the exhaust plate on my 2.5 applications. Never had a problem (mount the strainer as low as possible). Blow off valve is was adjusted according to my water pressure gauge (I usually tried to maintain 15lbs or so).

how much meat do you guys leave when you drill your lower for the fitting? there are some start up holes so to speak on both sides but they seem to far down from what i can see. here a pic showing where i taught i should drill.. opinions?

i found this pic from Baja200merk on the site. how big is that hole? he stated he used the dimple I pictured in the previous post as a starting point. seem also the hole is a little lower then the bottom.
