Rabco Powerboats / Rabe Photo Collection ALL Images Here
Here is batch five, from the huge collection of photo prints and slides owned by Randy Rabe and sent to me by Parker. There were many images scanned for this group, so I am dividing it into two batches. Batch six will follow very shortly.
Thanks again to Parker Rabe for sending this huge box of photos to me for scanning. I hope you enjoy them!

That's what I'm talking about. God that brought back some great memories. Parker did your pops ever come up to Jacksonville and run. Some of those look like the old launch area we had. Did any one notice hardly any of the boats had sponsors. Just good ol boys that got every day put in a hard days work so they could race boats on the weekend's. Like Tom said what great eara to be in.

Tony, JOC !!! that yellow hydrostream is Clark Coit (mayby misspelled his last name) that owned Inlet Marine on Docters lake. Clark brought the first hydrostream to JOC to race. Curtis Johnson was his main man at his shop, my dad had a place at Club Continental around the corner out on the river. Jeff Little also ran that boat I belive. Jacksonville Outboard Club, JOC !!! good education, fun out
PS, ask your dad about Clark and Jeff,Last edited by mr fun; 07-06-2017 at 08:02 PM.

the tunnel 114 is I belive Buddy Haskell, of Haskell Marine on Arlington Rd. near my house, I would ride my bike up there and hang out with Charlie Lyons and Danny Chrichfield when I was in junior high. good times, Buddy's boat was built in Orlando, Billy Cesery had one built by the same people. some of those shots definitely look like JOC, that outer strip of land where people are standing watching the pits looks familiar. fun out

Way cool.
Greg and Parker, is there a thread I'm missing that is dedicated to the boat company and models offered through the yrs??
I was shocked to recently stumble a couple of offshore boats and have no knowledge of them.
I loved that history when we lived down there and can't even imagine being around during the hey day.
Thx guys.

i dont think we had a thread with all the rabco models posted , there were so many over the years it was hard to keep up. lots of the pics posted in this batch i was so young i can barley remember. i was born in 73, lots of times ive had to ask my mom who people were in the croud and where the race was , and boy shes sharp is a tack , shell tell you EVERYTHING. lol. so then i can fill in the blanks for people.
what did you find up there??? rabcos?SEEBOLD CHAMPBOAT MERCURY S3000

Love the comments about your mom.
Was a Rabco I saw in Craigslist while down there.Been a while but thinking 25' - 28' vee that I really liked the lines of.
Until that point I though everything was small, single O/Bs.
Did your dad mostly sell boats just to support his racing program or was he trying to do the production/retail thing??
Ever seen any literature/brochures??
Guess I thought you were old enough to have been involved, as a kid. You know, sweeping shop floors etc 😉
Thanks for sharing Parker.
I would love seeing anything you have, showing what models were offered/sold.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
