    Hi Mikael,
    First..thanks for posting here.
No I did not race the #28 Aspen sponsored OE boat in Rouen 1983.
I remember Aspen was located in Rouen before they went out of business.
1975 I raced the Rouen 24 hour race and click the link below for full story.

...Lars didn't want to be known for having a small Johnson...So he made the switch, to Evinrude! There actually was a "cover-up" on this...but our lips are sealed...

Well thanks Fujimo that's a fun picture of a 1977 Evinrude Mate and a 1977 Evinrude V6 200 HP cowling..

I did not start racing with a "small Johnson" but a big powerful Evinrude.
1977 I sold more big powerful Evinrude V6 200HP 2.448 liter at my dealership than OMC could send me. Mercury/Mariner did only have a small 2 liter 175 HP outboard..

Picture is from 1978 and the new Evinrude 235HP V6

Very good equipment. ZF sterndrive. Volvo, buying exclusively ZF gearboxes for their truck business, torpedoed the NSU marine effort. Pity - the power of money!

    Thanks STEVERINO,

I think #14 is Jimbo McConnell. You can see the American flag on the boat

Scotti was using race # 7 in Bristol 1974.

V6 Super Strangler? I thought the Super Strangler designation was only for the V4's?

OMC also called the V6 2 liter for Stinger GP before the new name came 1976..Johnson RS and Evinrude CCC

The two pictures below is from Cardiff 1975 when Cees won the ON class World title with a 2 liter Johnson looper called Stinger GP
