Today you accomplished a new record. Besides having the most read thread on Scream & Fly for another year, you now have a half million more views than the nearest other thread and that thread has been on Scream & Fly for 18 months longer than yours. I know that you do not consider this a competition, but achieving this says a lot about you. Well done....!!

That’s a very sophisticated looking tunnel boat and the article says it was a Kevlarjeanneau hull. Didn’t realize that they made anything other than sail boats but again I’m not the most alert person in the world. I have stood on the Banks of the seine river never have attended any races there, but just looking at it it must’ve been one hell of a race and it’s day the six hours of Paris. I don’t think that I would have the cojones to drive on that course. Bristol is another course that must be a bear. You have to respect all the European drivers for racing on these courses all the best Amberjack.

A beautiful scene in the magic city. But what a shame for boat racing I recently inquired about what it would cost to rent the stadium for a boat race. They quoted me 4500 a day for the parking lot. No mention of water course or help don’t get me wrong. The people were helpful, but I don’t believe about race of the local scale that we used to run will ever happen in the Miami Marine Stadium again. May be a mega buck millionaires race of some sort but nothing like the outboard races of the 70s and the Bacardi, Mike, Gordon GN braces that took place. What a shame Amberjack.

Tragic death Hank Bowman I remember reading his columns as a boy growing up. Very good writer, avid boat racer. I think that was a couple of years after they moved the races from pelican harbor to the stadium. It may have even been the first year. I had written my bicycle from our home in Coconut Grove over to the races to watch them.
