The only American class we had for 20 inch production V6s was Mod VP. Sure, you could run in Champ, Mod U or Formula 150 but had no chance of beating anyone using racing gear cases.

Extremely nice Burgess/Evinrude CC F-3/OE race boat..

I found this picture with help of Jack Ottobrini and asked David Burgess to tell us the story.

This is the first time i have seen this. I built it for Tom Ireland of Evinrude North America, I know they ran it a few times with Tim Briggs driving it. It was a problem getting it going so i think they towed it until it was planing then it went quick.
After that it was used as a show boat, and at the Chicago boat show it was shown and put the wind up mercury because at the time OMC and Mercury was racing against each other in OE/F3.
The outfit weighed in at a mere 220 kilos.
