I talked to Tim Seebold a few days ago.
(He lives very close to me here in Osage Beach, MO)
Tim is working hard to try to get a Lake Havasu City boat race going this fall. Dont remember the date but not Thanksgiving.Last edited by lars strom; 04-06-2021 at 11:03 AM.

Havasu 2021
I hope he is planning on a blend of Vintage and Mod VP but stays away from any sanction activity related to APBA. APBA safety committee got the bright idea of making air breathing systems mandatory for any reinforced cockpit class in OPC. That's a $3000 investment for racers.

Long History Of Color Struggles
While Evinrude historically had its heritage firmly anchored in blue, the Johnson line struggled to find its own color it could call its own. Green in the 1940s, Kidney Brown in the 1950s, White (small motors) and Green (large motors) in 1960s, then white again in the 1960s, Green in the 1970s and 1980s. The only standout color was orange used for the Stinger models. I always thought that the Johnson V8 program was a half-hearted effort. Evinrude color program was much more stable. I wonder if there was a point in time where OMC should have discontinued the Johnson line? The marketing decision would have been easier to make in Europe but not so sure in the USA. A lot of die-hard Johnson owners out there.
