This red Molinari/Evinrude V8 got more attention then most modern race boats. Specially when Renato Molinari and Guido Cappellino showed up.

When I put this motor on the tunnel I'm restoring I would like to install this thrust block.
Nothing to do with the thrust block request, but I found this photo from 1973 - shows an interesting Evinrude FUI Class ( approx. 89 CID?) engine on the back of a 16' Checkmate. Hermal Lavoie from Quebec was the driver - a very good one. I'm sitting next to him in my first tunnel, Jackie's former 16' Sprint Molinari. 1973 was the final year for the UI engine to be raced in Canada.

I remember that feeling. First you hear and feel the prop come clear of the water then you think "o **** this is going to hurt". It usually did especially if you also owned the boat.

We used this thrust block in FJ. The sides that have the v's
with the bolt holes above and below, a block with matching V's bolts here. I believe it used a web type belt.

Thanks Mark, I got some copies of a parts catalog page from Bill Richter and I see how it's supposed to go now. Will have to make some blocks and should be able to find a heavy webbing to install. I'm sure none of these parts are still available.
