    Evinrude Norge

A message from the Norwegian Evinrude distributor:

"På jakt etter en av de absolutt mest miljøvennlige motorene på markedet? Evinrude E-TEC!"

I think the translation works fine..

"Looking for one of the absolutely most eco-friendly engines on the market? Evinrude E-Tec!"

This Cat looks like it originally was built for I/O engines, and then someone hung some Outboards on the back.

Bud Tuppen . That is the guy who won the single engine class in the 66 Orange Bowl 9 hour race. I think it may have had a pre-production version of those motors on it. I recall they had a spare lower unit strapped in the boat because of the outside assistance rule. I am not sure if they used that spare or not. That rule caused me to spend about 7 of the 9 hours as "riding mechanic" keeping our entry together. I remembered the boat but could not recall the driver's name until now. I think the other driver may have been his brother.
