I think they ended up fourth..

More unique and interesting stuff from Paris 6 hours 1976..
Mercury's top driver Bob Hering left Merc for OMC just before the race.
Bob Hering teamed up with Tom Posey and drove the #88 ON Class Johnson RS V6 2 liter/ Molinari in the famous race.
Well..a hole in the boat ended the race early.

    Bob Spalding and his #11 Velden/JPS/Johnson V8 1982.
Check the third picture how his Velden Racing boat was built/rigged.
Many good boat racing memories of Bob. He was such a gentleman and female supporters around the world loved him.

    Hi Lars

Now that Rotary John confirmed the xflow racing engine came out before the production tooling it is a very rare thing.
I wonder if there are any photos?

Well..I don't have any or have never seen any pictures of that, but I know the race V6 2 liter cross-flow was many years before the first production V6 1976. Of course there was no production tooling 1972/73 when OMC built the first V6 2 liter cross-flow raced in Paris 6 hours 1973.

Here is the first cross-flow V8..
    OMC´s first cross flow V8..model year 1963..!!.

    Paris 6 hours 1975
    Thank you Amaury Jousseaume.
I remember when your dad Didier and his brother Paul took the overall win in the Paris 6 hour race 1975. Driving the #13 boat above with a Evinrude two liter V6 engine. More about the race here..
