HeeHee..I think the HELI-BOUT is a smart thing compare to this..not even I would ever consider diving depending on the Evinrude/Johnson Air Buoy..

OMC actually sold quite a few of the hookah's, over the many years they were produced, until the lawsuits & lost sales halted them, due to exhaust entering the intakes, among other things. For the last 25 plus years, I've used a Brownies Third Lung. www.BrownieDive.com ...all the "kids" in the Brownies video's are my neighbors.

Yes I remember the lawsuit. I sold Evinrude Air Bouys in Sweden and the last ones OMC forced us to return. NEVER used one myself and the http://www.browniedive.com/ looks way better.

Yup. They're the cats azz. They have their place. Can't use them for every type of diving. Every type of dive equipment has its specific use. You name the yacht around the world, and they all have a Brownie's Dive Center on them. From they're floating above surface stuff , to rebreathers, filling systems, Nitrox, underwater transportation systems, subs...you name it. He's a good friend of mine.

The BIG problem with the Air-Bouy is that the air intake you breath from is in the same tube as the exhaust!!!!!!!!!! Lots &lots of CO poisioning. They had to discontinue them just for that reason......I had one AND a lot of headaches! BTW I have a Brownies Third Lung and no problems with it. Gary

I was a kid using one in our pool with one of the omc units and still remember passing out and floating to the surface lucky I didn't die from carbon monoxide poisoning.
