This was the first OMC race mid section for the SE class with a X-115 gear case. A few was built for the 3 cyl 1968/69 model but it really took of 1973

A short Peter Walush story from 1989
I was the Officer of the Day for the OMC Stockholm F3 Grand Prix same year.
After I dropped the green flag Peter flipped right in front of me and I was forced to red flag the race.
Peter was OK but I think that was his last year for F3 racing.
Yes, he used his own fuel injection but was not fast enough.

Paul and Dieter Jousseaume from France winning poster from Paris 6 hours 1975.
The two brothers took the overall win in a boat built in France powered by an Evinrude 2 liter Super Strangler V6 cross-flow.

A better picture of the OMC UIM F3 31 engine. Not sure of OMC sold this engine in the USA. A very strong, reliable race engine.
I have a few pictures of the block also with the name Strom marking.
I know they still race this engine in Australia.

How hard to you rev them, I hear the guys in oz say endurance 8500 and sprint 9000 but need new pistons each weekend if running over 9k

I don't really remember but we did not have any piston problems 89/90.

All agrees with what I said. OMC put their racers and motors on the widely publicized races where publicity counted.
