Here is a friends OMC project.
Fully mod’d, no expense sparred, 3.3 e-tec block based build.
F-1 V-8 mid w/aMerc Sporty gear case to get gearing he wants.
My friend built/fabbed everything.
If it doesn’t make 400+ HP’s and run 130+ I’d expect to see it burned.
He just started a thread about the 4 yr build w/more info for those interested.
I built a pretty evil, similar OMC project a few yes back but I consider this to be THE best ever attempted.
Particularly, when considering it is being conceived, funded and built by a hobbyist, in his Garage.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
Checkmate 16' 140 Johnson
Hydrostream 17' Vector FrankenRude I
Laser 480 (?) 21' w/GT 200
Glastron Carlson Conquest w/XP 2.6
Glastron Carlson CVX 20 w/XP 2.6
24' Sonic w/twin 250 Johnsons

19' STV River Rocket w/FrankenRude II
Allison XR 2002 w/Frankenrude II

Lars Strom is with Carina Strom and Rick Norwood at St. Lucie Outboard Marine.
Enjoy your retirement Bud Tillman and thanks for all the Evinrude sales/service/help over the years. (Bud next to Carina Strom first picture)
St. Lucie Outboard Marine
After 40 years of service it’s time for us to shove off the dock for good and enjoy the glory years! Yes that’s right Bud and Vicky Tillman of St. Lucie Outboard Marine have decided to retire. On behalf of the St. Lucie Outboard family we want to personally thank our loyal clientele for their patronage all these years.
On a further note, if you have had repair or service work done after 2010 and would like your records we encourage you to stop by the shop and pick up your file.
Lastly, due to the closing of the shop we are having a huge liquidation sale and all parts, motors and accessories must go. So now is the time to stop by and fill any of those needs. Our final day in operation will be December 29th 2019
Again, to our clientele – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Thank you for allowing us to serve you through the years. We have met so many great people and gained friendships that are far more valuable than any monetary wealth imaginable - And that, we wouldn’t trade for the world!
Bud & Vicky Tillman
