That's Gary Garbrecht's DP Motorsports slant nose Porsche sitting in front of the Record Boat next to the launchramp at Second Effort. (No the Porsche didn't have a trailer hitch) I'll be dam, where did that photo come from?

Was that boat originally from the Molinari / Mercury team fleet? The color scheme sure looks like the boat in a photo from Mercury's catalog when they introduced the T3?

Well..Its from Paris 6 Hours 1975..Renato was still with Mercury.
If I remember right the black #19 boat Jimbo was racing with the new 1976 Evinrude 200HP production V6 engine cover is/was a US built tunnel.

Yep...........the 2nd larger photo indicates that the nose cowl is not Molinari. The striping has a subtle change vs what Mercury used. Light blue vs orange. The air fences look identical to Molinari. I would bet $$$ that GG was not happy with this paint job though.

What a great angle/picture...and the boat itself I think looks great as well. Built by Stippich, can't be called a Twistercraft so maybe an Rudecraft ?

Anybody have any photos of Jimbo's laydown cockpit? Would love to see how it was set up.

In my opinion this is the best looking Velden Racing boat ever.
    Paris 6 Hours 1975.
Cees and Barry Woods ON Class #12 Marlboro/Velden/Johnson RS V6 2 liter.
