    That looks like a double overhead cam 4 cyl motor. It could be the one Bill Sirois entered in the Gold Coast Marathon in the Volvo class and blew away everyone. I think he finished second or third overall, then was disqualified for not being in the spirit of the rules. I think it was an Osca.

    To provoke Carl Kiekhaefer some more, the 1968 OMC 55 HP 3 cylinder looper had a decal on the aft end that had the patent number on it and saying OMC thru-hub exhaust.

    Thanks Lars. Both engines are singing. Sam Baker had the MPH on the top end to take the victory. This is the first time using my new camera in my boat, so I know my editing is little crude. We will be filming every race this year in NIDBA for the TV show that's being produced on the boat racers. ��

    You should get that particular patent number & look it up. It would be interesting to read the specifics of it.
